There are lots of ways to get to the Scottish International Airshow this weekend and we’re encouraging people to plan their journeys in advance so they can get to and from the event easily and have a great weekend in South Ayrshire.
With a reduced service operating on the Glasgow-Ayr train line, and no services running between Ayr and Stranraer due to a dangerous building at Ayr train station, you might want to think about an alternative way to get here if you’re among the 10% of visitors who normally come by train.
For those choosing to drive, we have thousands of dedicated Airshow parking spaces available in both car park 1 and 2.
These are really easy to find, andyou benefit from our traffic management plans – which mean extra capacity on the roads in in the morning and out in the evening, and you’re just a few minutes walk from the event site.
Make it easy on yourself and book your parking space now and make sure all you have to think about on the day is the fun you’re going to have. Book now at www.tsia.scot/tickets.
If you want to stay with public transport, Stagecoach will be running extra buses to the Airshow, meaning you can simply sit back, relax and enjoy your journey to one of the best days out in the country. Book your seat in advance at https://www.stagecoachbus.com/promos-and-offers/west-scotland/scottish-international-airshow-2018.
You can keep up-to-date with travel and transport information at www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/scottish-international-airshow/ or by following @ScotRail, @StagecoachWScot, @AyrshirePolice, @trafficscotland and @southayrshire.
The Scottish International Airshow will be a stunning family event. Plan your visit now – arrive early and enjoy all the great activities and entertainment on the Low Green and stay after the flying to take advantage of our funfair and the many fantastic restaurants, bars and entertainment in Ayr.
