STAFF at Specsavers in Ayr have raised more than £400 for charity Save The Children UK throughout December last year, with a series of fun filled activities such as an in-store raffle.
The team raised £416 in total at the High Street store, where customers were invited to take part in a raffle competition to win an assortment of goods such as sweet treats and high street vouchers.
The store kicked off its raffle with a festive Christmas Jumper Day, running the competition throughout the month to help raise more money for the charity, which provides international aid for children who need vital support, education and care.
Linda Fulton, store director in Specsavers Ayr, says: ‘I’d like to thank all of our customers who have helped make our fundraising throughout December for Save The Children UK such a success.
‘Every donation we receive will help the charity to ensure that children across the globe have access to key things such as medicine, education and care – something that every child should be able to receive.
‘I’d like to extend that thanks to the Specsavers Ayr team who went above and beyond to keep the fun in fundraising across the month. We’re also looking forward to hosting more charity activities and fundraising events throughout 2025 for more good causes.’
