Essential Resurfacing Work On A76 Cumnock Commences Monday 5th August

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the A76 in Cumnock, south of Dettingen Roundabout, from Monday 5th August until Wednesday 7th August between the hours of 7pm and 6am, each night.

This work will be undertaken under full overnight road closures and signed diversions will be in place as follows:

  • Northbound traffic will leave the A76 at Skerrington Roundabout, take the third exit onto the B7083 Glaisnock Road then turn left onto the B7046 Ayr Road. Traffic will then continue to the A70 to re-join the A76 at Dettingen Roundabout.

  • Southbound traffic will follow the same diversion in the opposite direction.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable. This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
