EXCLUSIVE: The Scottish Airshow goes International for 2016

EXCLUSIVE: The Scottish Airshow continues to develop as we now reach a new year and new exciting plans.

Thousands of spectators, watching the spectacular Air Display.

In 2014 it restarted the idea after a 22 year gap and one year after in 2015 it grew to a full sized airshow, with over 120,000 visitors attending the massive Air Display. In preparation for the 2016 the company behind the airshow has taken massive encouragement from the public support for our last 2 airshows. A new name reflects the company’s ambition for this years event and the Ayrshire Daily News can exclusively reveal that the 2016 airshow will be titled the Scottish International Airshow! We can now reveal that the Scottish International Airshow will extend over a fantastic 3 days in 2016, making the show bigger and better than ever.

A new Friday event is being designed to make this year’s show even more amazing for everyone, says event manager Doug Maclean.

This will add on to the existing Saturday on the Low Green and Sunday at Prestwick Airport.

The planned dates of this years event are the, 2nd, 3rd and 4th of September 2016!

Doug Maclean, event manager said: "If we can urge everyone to follow the new official Airshow page at the link below, we would be very grateful, this way we can keep our visitors up to date with the 2016 event."

A new Facebook page has been set up and all the information on the 2016 show will be announced at https://www.facebook.com/TheScottishInternationalAirshow/
