The event raised over £1300 to support two vital local organisations: The STAR Centre: Ayrshire's Rape Crisis Centre and South Ayrshire's Women’s Aid.

This fundraiser, a unique dancing event, brought together a supportive community to raise awareness and much-needed funds for services that offer life-changing support to survivors of gender-based violence. It was organised by a group of immensely powerful women that are passionate about supporting survivors of sexual violence.

“Thank you all for coming to support these two incredible charities as well as our performers who have bravely showcased their talents and confidence in their dance tonight,” said one of the organisers (Aimee Roberts).

The funds raised will be split between The STAR Centre: Ayrshire's Rape Crisis, which provides confidential support and advocacy services for survivors of sexual violence, and South Ayrshire’s Women’s Aid, which offers a range of services including refuge accommodation, emotional support, and outreach services to women and children affected by domestic abuse.

Both organisations are integral to providing much-needed support for those who have been impacted by gender-based violence and are vital in helping survivors rebuild their lives.

“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and effort of everyone who took part in this event. The funds raised will directly help us continue to offer essential services for those who need it most. The support from the community is invaluable.” - Emma, Sexual Violence Prevention Worker at The STAR Centre
