Girvan's Ainslie Park toilets are set to benefit from a major refurbishment from next week with major upgrades expected to the facilities.
The toilets are well used, especially with truckers and drivers who travel via the A77 to the busy Cairnryan ferry terminal near Stranraer.
South Ayrshire Council issued the following details below regarding the refurbishment:
"We’re refurbishing the toilets at Ainslie Park in Girvan! Works will run from Mon 26 Feb - Fri 19 April 2024."
"All the fixtures and fittings are being replaced. There will be new cubicles, new ceramic tiles and new flooring throughout."
"The toilets will be completely closed during the works."
"When the toilets reopen, there will be a contactless payment charge of 50p."
"The nearest public toilets are located at Girvan harbour."
