Hansel launches Spring offers

Local social care charity, Hansel, have several special offers this spring.

Back by popular demand is the duvet cleaning special offer available during the month of March where any sized duvet will be cleaned for only £11. In addition, customers will receive a voucher for a free standard tea or coffee at Lindy’s tearoom for every duvet cleaned. Just drop off your duvet at the Hansel Laundry, Broadmeadows, Symington, KA1 5PU and the team will take care of it.


The laundry is open Monday to Friday, 9am till 4pm and the only requirement is

that the duvet must be able to be tumble dried.


Lindy’s tearoom has launched a full breakfast special, including tea or coffee, for only £4.95.

Named after Lindy Murdoch, the daughter of Hansel's founders, Lindy’s is a vibrant social

enterprise café located within the Broadmeadows estate at Hansel, Symington. Breakfast is

available Monday to Friday from 8.30 till 11.30am.


A range of light refreshments, freshly made to order, or to take away, is also available including filled rolls, soup and a lunchtime special is served on a Wednesday from 12noon. Last orders for food is at 2pm. Although not required, you can book a table by calling 01563 831437.


The snowdrops are in full bloom at Hansel and you have the chance to purchase some to

plant in your own garden. Single flowering bulbs will be sold "in the green" in quantities of either 50 for £8 or 100 for £15 through to April, the perfect time to plant freshly lifted snowdrops.

Agnes Paton, Hansel’s Fundraising and Communications Manager explained that:

“The Hansel Laundry, Lindys tearoom and Grounds Maintenance teams are all part of the Hansel social enterprise business, Hansele, which seeks to develop opportunities for people who want to work through a number of routes including Employability and volunteering

programmes, supported businesses, and Education and Enterprise programmes.”


Agnes went on to tell us that “not only will you get an excellent service, you'll also be

supporting fantastic employment opportunities where people can fulfil their potential and

make a valuable contribution to the local economy and wider society. We hope the special

offers will encourage people to use our services and support a local charity.”
