The Tarbolton native, who won the fifth season of the TV contest and released his debut album Believe to acclaim later in 2011, recorded his latest track at Dramatic Studios in Ayr and filmed the accompanying video in the hills surrounding Loch Doon near Dalmellington.

“Once we heard this finished version we knew we had to release the song as a single and I thought there isn’t really a better way to celebrate my 10 year anniversary of winning Britain’s Got Talent,” said Jai.

“The song and video have been in production for two years now and the track was actually the brainchild of a friend of mine, Meredith McCrindle, who is an excellent harpist from Ayr. We recorded the first video footage at Trump Turnberry in Girvan back in 2019 and it started as a passion project for us both. But, due to my touring schedule and Covid, we only got to finish the audio and had to wait until now to complete the video.”

Jai recruited the talents of McCrindle and fellow Ayrshire musician Brian MacDonald, who contributed violin, piano, drums and accordion and produced the track.

Most recently Jai joined world renowned singer, Susan Boyle on her 2020 tour, playing arenas around the UK. Since rising to fame a decade ago, Jai has performed before Her Majesty The Queen at The Royal Variety Show and made his West End debut in The Pirate Queen at The London Coliseum.

As a solo artist, he has performed many solo shows In Glasgow’s Wild Cabaret and London’s ‘Live at Zedel’ in Piccadilly Circus.

In the coming months, Jai will be part of the stage production Come What May, which will tour the UK from September to November.
