The outcome of North Ayrshire Council’s Budget engagement exercise has now been published.

The feedback received during the engagement – which ran during October and November last year - was presented to Elected Members at a Full Council meeting today.

A total of 4,461 submissions were received, which includes substantial discussions with community groups across North Ayrshire.

The engagement covered a range of different council services to provide our residents with more detail on the 2025/26 budget and how changes might impact our communities.

We focused on making the engagement accessible, so surveys could be completed online, over the phone via our Contact Centre and in person through our frontline services. Community group engagement took place in person or online to maximise the number of attendees.

North Ayrshire Council’s Chief Executive Craig Hatton thanked all those who made their voice heard.

The engagement covered a wide range of council services including economic development, community facilities and car parking, waste services, taxes, schools, and an additional survey on the proposed Council Tax Levy on second homes.

The outcome of the budget engagement can be viewed on our Council website.
