Police appealing for information after alleged theft incidents in Mauchline

Police Scotland are appealing for any information following several incidents of alleged theft in Mauchline between Monday 15th April and early hours of Tuesday 16th April 2019.

About 0245 hours on Monday 15th April 2019 a commercial property on Loudoun Street was accessed via the roof and a quantity of items and cash stolen. Suspects may have been in the Church yard and exited via Castle Street area.


Enquiries are also being carried out following reports of alleged theft from motor vehicles in and the Mossgiel Avenue, Mary Morrison Drive and Loch Road area.

Sgt Harvey from Cumnock Locality Policing said:


“We are appealing for anyone with information on these incidents or indeed anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area to contact police. We are conducting house to house enquiries and reviewing CCTV locally. While these incidents happened in the early hours of the morning there may have been people in the area - I would appeal to anyone who was in the area, including drivers who may have dashcam footage or anyone has private CCTV to please contact us.”
