Stagecoach West Scotland is excited to announce the return of the 'Doonfest Express', which will offer free late-night bus travel for festival goers at Doonfest on the weekend of July 5th and 6th.
This service was well received at last year's festival, and attendees will once again be able to hop on a Stagecoach Bus from the festival site in Dalrymple to get home safely to Ayr after the festival.
Festival goers are encouraged to contact Doonfest directly to book tickets for the bus, as seats will not be available for booking through Stagecoach directly. To book, you can contact Doonfest via doonfest.org. Prebooking is essential to secure your space on the bus. The services will pick up from Main Street, Dalrymple, at 11pm near the festival site entrance and drop off at Ayr town centre.
Fiona Doherty, Managing Director of Stagecoach West Scotland, said:
"We are thrilled to support Doonfest and its attendees once again this July. Ensuring everyone can enjoy this local community festival and return home safely allows individuals to make plans to attend this wonderful event. We look forward to supporting the festival goers with sustainable bus transport again this year."
As part of Stagecoach’s commitment to supporting local communities, they are happy to support Doonfest, which is a family-friendly festival organised by a small team of enthusiastic locals with support from the wider community.
The festival will feature headline acts including Federation of the Disco Pimp and Talisk, as well as a wide range of other exciting artists and activities for all the family to enjoy.
