US President Donald Trump has been invited by the king to meet in Scotland to discuss plans for a state visit.

The US president is expected to meet the king in either Dumfries House, Ayrshire or Balmoral Castle, Aberdeenshire, to discuss the plans for an unprecidented second state visit to the UK.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer used the trip to the White House yesterday to present the president with an official letter from the monarch offering a meeting. The US President owns the Trump Turnberry golf course in Ayrshire and his new course in Aberdeenshire.
US President Donald Trump previously visited his Trump Turnberry course in Ayrshire back in 2018, which included the US presidential plane, Air Force One, landing at Prestwick Airport and a convoy to the Turnberry resort.
