NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s Ayrshire Achieves award scheme is back for 2025, and nominations are officially open.
Ayrshire Achieves is open to all staff and volunteers in NHS Ayrshire & Arran and East, North and South Health and Social Care Partnerships.
Lesley Bowie, Chair of Ayrshire and Arran NHS Board, explains:
“Ayrshire Achieves is a wonderful way for both members of the public and our staff to highlight the fantastic work from our staff and volunteers in health and care services across Ayrshire. If someone immediately comes to mind, this is your chance to shine a light on their efforts.”
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 29 May 2025, and will celebrate heroes in six categories:
Behind the scenes: This award is for staff who make a real difference without most people knowing about it.
Care and compassion: This award is for an individual or team who has demonstrated care and compassion towards colleagues or patients and their families with exceptional care, compassion, dignity and respect.
Collaboration and working together: This award is for a team who has demonstrated exceptional teamworking and collaboration.
Making a difference with digital: This award is for an individual or team who is doing things differently using digital approaches.
Shining stars: This award is for an individual, team or volunteer who goes above and beyond what is expected of them.
Thinking out of the box: This award is for an individual or team who has done something new or different; delivered innovation, reform, or found solutions against all the odds.
