A statement from Ayr Racecourse said:
Racing at Ayr tomorrow has been abandoned with the track still unraceable owing to an area of waterlogged ground in the home straight.
Despite a dry day following Thursday’s abandonment track officials along with the BHA course inspector have taken another look at the affected area and there is very little improvement.
There is no option but to cancel Friday’s card and an inspection has been called for noon tomorrow to ascertain whether racing can take place on Saturday.
