The dedicated work of North Ayrshire Council staff has again been recognised by local residents.
In August, members of the public were asked to nominate Council employees who have provided exceptional service for the annual North Ayrshire Achieves Customer Excellence Award.
With more than 45 nominations received, the judging panel yet again had a very difficult job during the shortlisting process, but it can now be revealed that the three finalists are as follows:
Elizabeth Sullivan: Community Development Worker, Communities.
Elizabeth works tirelessly to come up with grants and fabulous opportunities for young people, pulling in approximately £30k a year in funding. She builds confidence in others and helps them to create a better, healthier life.
Jean Cullen: Team Manager – Throughcare, Health & Social Care Partnership.
Jean advocates for children leaving care and is there day and night for people she helps – even long after they have left her responsibility.
Kerry McGuire: Business Adviser, Place.
Kerry helps get businesses get up and running with advice, as well as finding locations for start-ups. She is described as the go-to person to secure funding and branding for new businesses in North Ayrshire.
The winner of the Customer Excellence Award will be announced at the North Ayrshire Achieves awards event at Saltcoats Town Hall on Thursday, November 21.
North Ayrshire Council Chief Executive Craig Hatton said: “The Customer Excellence Award is a fantastic way to honour the hard work and outstanding service provided by our dedicated employees.
“Our staff deliver some amazing work for our communities and it is only right that this should be recognised.
“We would like to congratulate all of the finalists for getting this far and sincerely thank everyone who took the time to nominate.”
