Grange Academy hosted a football festival recently for Primary 4 and 5 pupils from their cluster schools.
Annanhill, Crosshouse, Gargieston and Shortlees Primaries sent two teams each to represent their schools at the tournament run by Grange Academy’s Charlie Adams and Jo Clark, Active Schools Co-ordinator from Vibrant Communities.
All the teams played against each other and when they were not playing, they cheered their schoolmates on from the side-lines. All the players worked extremely hard in the glorious sunshine, showing determination, team spirit and pride in their school team.
Annanhill Primary were the overall cluster cup winners and all the players who took part received a fair play award.
Charlie Adams PE Teacher at Grange Academy said “The Cluster Cup was a fantastic football festival that provided an opportunity for the pupils to play football, have fun and meet some new friends.
The pupils demonstrated a high skill level, enthusiasm and fair play in all the games. I was delighted to help run the event as it is one of the highlights of the PE calendar every year.”
