Allied Business Finance (ABF) has surpassed £100 million in finance origination, just over two years after the business launched.

The milestone means the Scottish-based brokerage has now helped 665 businesses access more than £100m in finance since it began trading in spring 2024, marking a significant achievement for a business still in the early stages of its development.

Founded by a team of six experienced finance professionals, ABF has grown rapidly since its launch, building relationships with businesses across the UK and a network of lending partners to provide finance solutions across a range of sectors and requirements.

For ABF, however, the £100m figure represents more than a financial milestone. It is evidence of the relationships the business has built with its customers and lending partners, and of the confidence placed in a relatively young brokerage.

Rob Murray, Director at ABF, said:

“Surpassing £100m in finance origination just over two years after launching ABF is a fantastic milestone for all of us. We set out to build a business around our experience, our relationships and the way we wanted to work with our customers and funding partners, so to have reached this level of origination so quickly is a real reflection of the trust people have placed in us.”

The milestone comes just months after ABF celebrated its second anniversary, underlining the pace at which the business has established itself in the market.

Customer feedback has also played an important role in ABF's growth, with businesses highlighting the brokerage's personal approach, knowledge and ability to find appropriate finance solutions.

One of its clients, a Scottish haulage company, explained:

“ABF has access to several funding partners, so they can offer various options. The process is seamless, and everything is handled very professionally. ABF listens to the challenges we face as a business and offers solutions. The fact that we can speak to the team face to face makes a big difference. If I were giving advice to another business exploring funding options, I’d simply say: speak to ABF.”

The achievement also represents an important step in ABF's ambitions for the future, as the business continues to develop its customer and lender relationships and look for further opportunities to grow.

Conor Fitzsimmons, Director at ABF, added:

“We’re a close-knit team with a huge amount of experience between us, and that has given us a strong foundation to build something we can be proud of. The £100m is a significant milestone, but it’s also a marker of how far we’ve come rather than where we want to finish. We’re still a young business, and we’re excited about the opportunities ahead and continuing to build on what we’ve created.”

With more than £100m now originated in just over two years, ABF moves into its third year with a growing customer base, established lending relationships and ambitions to build further on the foundations it has created since launching.
