A77 closed near Kilmarnock due to an unsafe bridge

The A77 has been closed by police after Concrete started to fall from an overbridge near Treeswood, Kilmarnock. Amey SW Trunk said on Twitter: “A77 S/B Kilmarnock Bypass @ Treeswoodhead Road overbridge. Police currently have the carriageway closed in both directions due to concrete falling from an overbridge. Amey ISU are on site and the Structures crew have been made aware” Long delays are expected with diversion later being implemented.

Hundreds of North Ayrshire roads to move to 20mph limit this month

Hundreds of roads across North Ayrshire will begin switching to a 20mph speed limit later this month as part of a national effort to improve road safety. Scotrail records busiest day of 2025

ScotRail has recorded its busiest day of 2025 to date, with around 340,000 journeys being made across Scotland’s Railway on Saturday, 8 November.
