The National Trust for Scotland is waiving admission fees to the cottage on Saturday, 18 July, from 11am until 4pm, as part of a collaboration with the University of Glasgow’s Centre for Robert Burns Studies.

The free event will give visitors the opportunity to discover more about the birthplace of Scotland’s National Bard and learn about the very first Burns Supper, which was held in the cottage 225 years ago. Guests will also find out how the tradition has grown into a worldwide celebration of Burns’ life and works.
