If there were medals for the easiest journey to the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, travelling by Stagecoach would be firmly in contention.
As Scotland welcomes the Commonwealth Games from today (23 July) to 2 August, Stagecoach is encouraging customers across Ayrshire to leave the car behind and travel by bus for a simple, convenient and great-value day out.
Customers can travel into Glasgow on the X77 from Ayr or the X76 from Kilmarnock, with frequent express services arriving at Buchanan Bus Station, just a short onward journey from the Games venues.
A West Scotland Connect DayRider, priced at £16.80, offers unlimited travel throughout the day, while customers who already have a MegaRider or Flexi ticket can use it to travel to and from the Games. Those aged under 22 or over 60 can also travel for free with a valid National Entitlement Card.
The Stagecoach Bus app allows customers to plan journeys, buy tickets in advance and track their bus in real time, making travelling to Glasgow even easier during one of Scotland's biggest sporting events.
