A 23-year-old man has been arrested following an incident on board a ferry in Ardrossan.

Police were alerted at around 5.45pm on Friday, 21 August, after a man went overboard from the vessel.
The man was rescued by staff before allegedly causing a disturbance and making threats.
Officers attended and arrested the 23-year-old in connection with the incident. Police have confirmed that enquiries remain ongoing.
Following enquiries, officers established that the threats made during the incident were not credible.
Police said the incident has now concluded and there is no threat to the wider public.
Passengers are being advised to contact CalMac for further travel information due to expected disruption.
