Ayrshire’s Ms Great Britain, Michelle Howie, attended this weekend’s spectacular Ayr Air Show, which attracted huge crowds from across Ayrshire and throughout Scotland.
Michelle spent the day meeting members of the Armed Forces, visiting the Red Arrows and chatting with members of the public who had come along to enjoy the event.
Michelle said:
“What a fantastic event. It was wonderful to see so many people from Ayrshire, as well as visitors from all over Scotland, coming together to enjoy such a brilliant show. I’m incredibly proud of Ayrshire and what this event brings to our community.
“The atmosphere was amazing and I absolutely loved meeting everyone. It’s been a wonderful day and something I’m very proud to have been part of.”
A particular highlight was the Red Arrows’ spectacular red, white and blue display, which Michelle watched proudly wearing her Ms Great Britain Ayrshire sash.
“Seeing the Red Arrows flying overhead in the red, white and blue was incredibly special. As Miss Great Britain Ayrshire, representing my community beneath that incredible display was a moment I’ll never forget.
“Days like this show just how much pride, spirit and community there is in Ayrshire. I felt incredibly proud to stand there wearing my sash and representing the people of Ayrshire. It was a truly unforgettable day, and I’m already looking forward to seeing the air show return.”
