A new community hub in Girvan will open its doors to the public later this month, giving residents access to information, advice and wellbeing support in one place.

The Connect South Ayrshire Hub at Nursery Court will offer drop-in support every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from Tuesday 20 October.
It is the fourth hub established by South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) and Voluntary Action South Ayrshire (VASA), following locations in Ayr, Maybole and Prestwick.
An official launch took place on Wednesday 30 September, bringing together representatives from partner organisations, local services and the community ahead of the public opening.

Connect South Ayrshire brings healthcare, statutory and voluntary sector services together to help residents find suitable support and learn about opportunities in their area.
The Girvan hub will host a programme of partner organisations, alongside specialised support sessions. Details of these sessions will be published on the Connect South Ayrshire website and social media channels.
Mark Inglis, Director of Health and Care, said: “The opening of our fourth community hub in Girvan demonstrates our ongoing commitment to making information, advice and support easier to access in local communities.

“By bringing services together in one welcoming environment, we can help people access support earlier and connect them with the resources available within their community.”
Marie Oliver, CEO of VASA, said the new hub would help people access services closer to home.
“Our focus remains on ensuring people can access the support they need, when they need it, and close to home,” she said.

“The new Girvan Hub will provide opportunities for local people to connect with services, organisations and wider community support in a friendly and accessible setting.”
Residents can also access information and support through the free Connect South Ayrshire phoneline on 0800 432 0510 or at www.connectsouthayrshire.org.
