Irvine Residents are being asked to be aware as vital works are scheduled to get under way from today in the Girdle Toll area of Irvine
Surface improvement works got under way at Bensley Avenue on Monday, 6 July.
The nature of the works means that the road will close to traffic from 9am on 6 July to Sunday 12 July and from Monday 20 July to Sunday 26 July or until the improvement works are complete, whenever finishes earlier.
Pedestrian access for residents only will be maintained by traffic marshals who will escort residents safely to and from their properties.
North Ayrshire Council appreciates these necessary roadworks will cause some temporary inconvenience, however there will be long term benefits to local residents.
