Artists and makers from across Ayrshire are being invited to take part in a new group exhibition celebrating the opening of The Auld Toy Shop in Ayr town centre.
Narture CIC has launched a call for creatives to participate in Ayr: Past, Present, Future, which will be staged at the new venue on Newmarket Street later this month.
The exhibition aims to celebrate Ayr through the eyes of local artists, exploring the town’s history, its character today and ideas about its future.
Organisers are keen to hear from artists working across all disciplines and at every stage of their creative journey, including people who may be exhibiting their work for the first time.
Narture CIC is particularly hoping to reach emerging creatives who may not normally come across opportunities to showcase their work publicly.
The exhibition will officially launch on Friday, August 21, from 4pm until 8pm, before continuing until Monday, August 24, 2026.
The event also forms part of the opening celebrations for The Auld Toy Shop on Newmarket Street, which is being transformed into a new creative space in the heart of Ayr.
Artists and makers across Ayrshire who would like to become involved are being encouraged to contact Narture CIC for further information on how to submit their work.
