Officers are appealing for information following a wilful fire in Stevenston.
Around 1.10am on Tuesday, 28 July, 2026, we received a report of a car on fire on Millhill Road.
The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and there were no reports of any injuries.
Detective Constable Martine Armstrong said:
“Thankfully no-one was injured as a result of this reckless act.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident and hasn’t already spoken to officers to contact us.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area and may have dash cam or private CCTV footage which could assist to get in touch.”
