The event will take place on Wednesday, August 5, from 11am until 3pm as part of celebrations marking the National Day for Play.

This year’s theme, “Protect Play, Protect Childhood,” aims to highlight the importance of giving children opportunities to play wherever they live.

Organisers say play is a vital part of childhood and can have a significant impact on children’s happiness, health and wellbeing.

A wide range of free activities will be available throughout the day, including outdoor games, arts and crafts and interactive play zones designed to encourage imagination and creativity.

Families are also welcome to bring a picnic and spend the day enjoying the park.

The event is free and open to everyone, with no advance booking required. Those attending are advised to dress appropriately for the weather.
