A talented nine-year-old Kilmarnock boy is hoping the Ayrshire community will get behind him after his hand-drawn jersey design reached the final of a Glasgow Clan competition.
Josh Young has created a special design which could be worn by Glasgow Clan’s professional ice hockey players during their pre-game warm-up.
His mum, Danielle Young, said Josh is currently sitting in second place and would be thrilled to see his heroes taking to the ice wearing a jersey he designed himself.
Danielle said: “Josh has made the final of the Glasgow Clan kids’ competition to design a jersey that will be worn by the professional players during their warm-up at a game.
“His design was hand-drawn, and he is currently in second place. It would be amazing if people across Ayrshire could get behind him. He really wants to see his heroes wearing his design.”
Supporters can vote by visiting the original competition post on Glasgow Clan’s social media page and liking the entry marked “Joshua | Age 9.”
Votes will only count when the like is placed directly on Josh’s design within the Glasgow Clan post.
Danielle is also encouraging supporters to share the competition with friends and family as Josh looks for a final surge of votes.
